I’m reading a fascinating book written by holistic health coach, Alisa Vitti. The title of the book is Woman Code and provides great advice and research on how to regulate menstrual cycles, clear up skin, lose weight, alleviate PMS, improve moods, and have better sex by following a whole-foods program. The idea behind following a whole-foods program is that eating this way will help balance hormones.
Alisa Vitti found herself suffering through the symptoms of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and was able to heal herself through food and lifestyle changes. She has since made it her mission to empower other women to be able to do the same.
Alisa says, “Whether you are suffering from irregular periods, fertility issues, depression, or lack of sex drive, medications and anti-depressants aren’t the only solutions. Woman Code educates women about hormone health in a way that’s relevant and easy to understand and the five-step protocol can markedly improve health and overall quality of life.”
I agree with Alisa that eating a whole-foods diet can help a woman drastically improve her health. I encourage any woman to read this valuable book and follow the protocols if experiencing the symptoms she addresses. If after several months there is no improvement, I would still continue eating a whole-foods diet and consider reaching out for medical help.
