“Dr. Peter T. Pacik presented understanding and treating vaginismus, a podium lecture, to the 2014 annual meeting of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery held in Maine. The title of the presentation was “Treatment of Vaginismus With OnabotulinumtoxinA (Botox) Results From a Pilot Study” which showed a 96.8% success rate of patients achieving intercourse or ability to use large dilators in women without partners. In this series there were no adverse events and no recurrences. This study spanned 2010 to 2011, patients are now two to three years post treatment.”
This is such wonderful news. Thank you so, so, so much Dr. P for continuing to work so hard to spread the word about vaginismus so that no woman continues to suffer in silence!!!!
