Or seen? Or read? Vaginismus continues to slowly come out of the shadows and into the mainstream, and here at Maze, we couldn’t be happier! While nothing is universal, we often hear from patients about how isolating vaginismus can be. Because for whatever reason, we can talk about back pain or tennis elbow or acne, but when it comes to sexual issues, mum’s the word. And that does a great disservice to all of us. When we see accurate representation of our experience in any form of media, it helps us feel less alone.
Tell us what you’ve observed lately – are the women (and partners) struggling with vaginismus finally getting some well-deserved attention? Let us know!
